You have to be aware that you are visiting a pure game restaurant. That means, there are actually only game dishes with dumplings or potatoes and Brussels sprouts or red cabbage, as well as ice cream desserts and nuggets and fries for children. If you know that this is not for you, you should stop elsewhere. The food that is offered is really good. You can taste that everything is homemade. Even the nuggets are fresh from the kitchen in my opinion, and so are the side salad. All in all, I would recommend the stop with some reservations.

Food is delicious and inexpensive. The apple spritzer is also very tasty. You can only recommend the restaurant. We also find the watch case very nice and also the furniture.

Perfect restaurant to combine with a nice hike in the surrounding Bornwald forest. They are specialized in venison, what i would recommend you to order. Today i tried the mouflon (wild sheep) that was very tasty and tender, paired with some potato dumplings and bruxelles sprouts. It was a perfect example of the best what the region has to offer. Mouth watering for sure! The service was quick and very friendly so that we rehydrated quickly with our Einsiedler-beer. I highly recommend to stop by to enjoy this cute rural restaurant. We will definitely come back.

Always very cozy and delicious food

Very cozy, friendly and the menu is very good for game fans. You can find everything from deer, mouflon, roast wild boar 😋 even kangaroo is available here. We only had coffee and there was homemade cake which was delicious but we would love to come back to eat game again.

The food was very good. Unfortunately it was a bit too cold in the restaurant - no heating! Outside temperature 8 degrees!

The food was good ..... but not a varied menu ... only suitable for carnivores ... the waitress ran for her life, but still did not manage to bring us within 30 minutes our bill ... too bad , the overall impression counts

Very nicely located between Zschopau and Börnichen, very good food, especially for friends who like game. The inn is furnished in a rustic style and the hosts are very friendly. All around very beautiful hiking trails and a dam. A clear recommendation from me.
